A choir legend retires - wants to pay tribute to the music!
On January 31, Anders Eby, professor emeritus, will give his last concert with the choir he founded in 1972 and has led since then - Mikaeli Chamber Choir.

The concert at the Folkoperan on January 31, 2026 will be a tribute to music; As art, as emotions and expression, as an element of life and driving force for so many of us.

A warm welcome to this unique concert that opens with Vaughan Williams' Serenade to Music. The program also includes Frank Martin's Ode à la Musique, works by Samuel Barber, Kaija Saariaho, Ingvar Lidholm. Finally, we perform one of the great choral works of the 20th century – Francis Poulenc's Figure humaine.

The concert will also feature soloists Lisa Carlioth and Johan Rydh, pianist Bengt Forsberg and an instrumental ensemble.
And after the break, we have the pleasure of welcoming a number of former singers in the Mikaeli Chamber Choir into the ranks!
