JS BACH MASS B - MINOR
With his monumental Mass in B minor, Johann Sebastian Bach has created a work that, with its outstanding luminosity, stands out as one of the very best in music history. However you choose to approach this multidimensional work – historically, aesthetically, emotionally – you will be richly rewarded. With each performance, it opens up a new perspective – both for musicians and listeners!
For the Mikaeli Chamber Choir, the B minor Mass means a fond reunion; it's been a few years since the last time - 2008. The memories of the gramophone recording made in January 1990 together with Drottningholm's Baroque Ensemble - the first in Sweden with time-honored instruments - are also strong.
And we are happy to once again collaborate with Drottningholmarna - it feels both safe and inspiring!
We are also delighted to collaborate with a top class soloist quartet!
Johanna Wallroth, soprano
Ann Hallenberg, alto
Leif Aruhn-Solén, tenor
Arvid Eriksson, bass
Drottningholm's Baroque Ensemble

Anders Eby, conductor
We hope and believe that it will be an unforgettable musical experience!
